Miss Thomas has a primitive look with button eyes, floppy arms and legs and a weighted bottom for easy positioning. She wears wire framed glasses, a plaid dress, and black boots with lace socks. In her arms she holds a wooden 'chalkboard' with the phrase, "School's open," written on it, and a No. 2 pencil. With her paper name tag printed on her dress she is ready for the first day of school.
